Privacy Policy

Crocus Bag (“we”, “us”) operates crocusbag.com, a marketplace where people in Jamaica can list, browse, and chat about items for sale. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site or app, and how we use it.

Account information. When you sign up with email or through Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (if provided by that sign-in method).

Listings and messages. Anything you post — titles, descriptions, prices, photos, location, and messages you send to other users — is stored so the marketplace and chat can work.

Usage and device data. We collect basic technical data (IP address, browser, pages viewed) to keep the service running and secure.

Cookies and ads. We use cookies to keep you signed in, and we show ads through Google AdSense, which may use cookies to personalise ads based on your activity on this and other sites. You can control ad personalisation through your Google account settings.

To run the marketplace: show your listings to other users, deliver chat messages, send account and transaction-related emails, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the service. We don't sell your personal information.

Other users see what you choose to make public — your display name, listings, and any messages you send them. We also share data with the service providers that make Crocus Bag work: our hosting and database provider, our email provider (for account and notification emails), Google AdSense (for ads), and Google, Facebook, and Apple (if you sign in through them). These providers only use your data to provide their service to us.

We keep account and listing data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep records for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.

You can review and update your profile information at any time from Settings, and you can delete individual listings or your whole account. Contact us if you'd like a copy of your data or want it deleted and run into trouble doing it yourself.

Crocus Bag isn't intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy as the service changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do; if a change is significant we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know.
